Georgian childrens literature will be presented for the first time at the Georgian National Stand during Bologna Children’s Book Fair from March 30 to April 2, 2015. The Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Mikheil Giorgadze, and the director of Georgian National Book Center, Medea Metreveli presented the special program which is focused on promotion of Georgian literature at the International Book Fairs in Leipzig, Bologna and London.

21 Sample translations of Georgian Literature will be supported by Georgian National Book Center: 7 sample translations into English (Expert – Donald Rayfield) and 14 sample translations into German (Expert – Alexander Kartozia). The aim of the Sample Translations Program is to promote translation and publication of Georgian literature into foreign languages.
