Georgian National Book Center presented translations of Georgian literature published in 2014. The presentation was attended by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze, Georgian writers, publishers and translators.

With the purpose of support translation and publishing Georgian literature last year Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Georgian National Book Center realized 28 international projects in over the 10 countries. About 40 Georgian authors were translated into English, German, Italian, Turkish, Greek, Arabian, Macedonian, Ukrainian, Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani languages.

Noteworthy is that last year foreign publishers were interested not only in modern Georgian writers but also in classical authors. Accordingly this in 2014 were translated and published:
In Germany - The Knight in the Panther’s Skin by Shota Rustaveli, Anthology of Georgian Literature, The White Collar by Mikheil Javakhishvili, Eliso by Aleksandre Kazbegi, Stories by Vaja Pshavela, Flight from the USSR by Dato Turashvili; In USA – “Vano and Niko” by Erlom Akhvlediani, Poetry “Still life in Snow” by Dato Barbakadze, The Brueghel Moon by Tamaz Chiladze, Kvachi Kvachantiradze by Mikheil Javakhishvili, Me, Margarita by Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili; In Italy - Anthology of Georgian Poetry, Adibas by Zaza Burchuladze, Absurdistan by Basa Janikashvili; In Turkey - Mosquito in the city by Erlom Akhvlediani, Sunny Night by Nodar Dumbadze, Dagny or a Love Feast by Zurab Karumidze; In Greece - Flight from the USSR by Dato Turashvili; In Ukraine - Shoot ‘em up by Basa Janikashvili; In Russia - Inflatable Angel by Zaza Burchuladze, Counting out by Tamta Melashvili;In Israel - The Knight in the Panther’s Skin by Shota Rustaveli; In Macedonia - The Law of Eternity and The white banners by Nodar Dumbadze; In Egypt - Antonio and David by Jemal Karchkhadze; In Armenia - Ear pillow by Irakli Samsonadze, Flight from the USSR by Dato Turashvili; In Azerbaijan - Flight over Madatov Island and Back by Aka Morchiladze.
