It gives an account of the people who founded and helped build up Georgian film-making, and who showed and distributed newsreels, either imported or locally shot. The work reveals very rear information about the first Georgian documentary and art films, their authors, producers and actors; and about those in the film industry. The readers have interesting opportunity to learn about the transformation that silent films underwent as times changed and how the transfer to the era of sound film took place.
