The main character of the novel is Demna Batonishvili – royal prince and the legal pretender to the throne. The book wholly depicts life of Demna Batonishvili. Author’s narration virtuously is of spellbinding appeal, Georgia and not only Georgia but the whole world of that period is ideally depicted and fairly presented by the author – Jerusalem and Shirvan, Persia and Ani city and Bagdad, heroes and anti-heroes, sultans and kings, caravans and knights, Assassins dynasty brotherhood, appearance of the three magi kings who became the friends of the main hero Demna Batonishvili and investigate the murder case of Demna’s father, King David.
The novel of such style has not been written in Georgia for a long time, the novel is full of unexpected lines of narration and great impression, the plot is special by its confusing labyrinth passages, battle scenarios and real and frank love stories, narration is dynamic and fetching, thus the reader will be fully attracted and steeped in the novel and will not be able to leave it unread. This is the newest work on history and historical clandestine, devotion and betray, valiancy and destiny, that conceals the real mysterious face of the prince Demna, (then the King Demetre Demna) but the prince and his friends trust in biblical words “nothing is concealed that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be made known”.
The author precisely and emotionally depicts sad and sorrowful adventure of Demna by using poetry and philosophical accents. Thus, the book is brilliant and great work of the modern world roman philology and the modern reader will fully perceive and apprehend being the addressee of the massage of human importance, as it happened eight thousand years ago when the fateful words were uttered “Love uplifts to Heaven”.
