At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 Georgia will be presented with renovated National Stand which was organized by the Georgian National Book Center and Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association, supported by the ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia. The concept of the National Stand and the program was developed through consultations with Georgian publishers.

The program purposed to promote Georgian literature abroad, is busy with contents of literary events and has different formats of presentation. The whole program is financially supported by GNBC.

Several dozen translations of Georgian Literature supported by GNBC and the Minisitry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, as well as the latest editions of Georgian Publishers will be presented at the National Stand.

A presentation of catalogues specially prepared and published for FBF 2015 will be held at the renovated stand and the director of Georgian National Book Centre Medea Metreveli, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Mikheil Giorgadze and Georgian publishers will host representatives of international book fairs and foreign publishers. Also there is planned a presentation of “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” by Shota Rustaveli published by German Publishing House Reihart.

At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015, during 14-18 October will be held several literary events in different formats, including a reading/performance of Homo Ex Machine by Lasha Bugadze; public reading of "Who Killed The Seagull" by Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili's; public reading of German translation and discussion of Zaza Burchuladze's novel "Adibas" (published by Aufbau) with the participation of well-known Ukrainian writer Yuri andrukhovichi. There is also planned a presentation of four translations published by Pop Verlag - collection of short stories by Ekaterine Gabashvili and Chola Lomtatidze and compilation of poems by Esma Oniani and Dato Barbakadze.

With the purpose to increase awareness and interest to Georgian Authors and General to Georgian literature abroad representatives of Georgian National Book Center arrange meetings with the partner organizations, managers of different international book fairs and foreign publishers.
