By the initiative of the Georgian National Book Center, the Georgian novel ‘obOle’ was selected for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival section Shoot the Book. On the 15th of May the novel ‘obOle’ by Georgian contemporary author Aka Morchiladze will be presented to the representatives of the international film industry.

With the organization of Georgian National Book Center, Georgian publishers submitted Georgian literary works at the section ‘Shoot the Book’ of the Cannes Film Festival. Among the 10 best literary works was selected the novel published by Bakur Sulakauri Publishing.

To be mentioned, this year Georgian literature has gained success in international film festivals for the second time.
