Juergen Boss, President of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, officially presented Georgia to international media representatives as the Guest of Honour Country of Frankfurter Buchmesse 2018. The first presentation of the Guest of Honour Country was led by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze and the Director of the Georgian National Book center, the head of the project of the Guest of Honour Country Medea Metreveli. Mikheil Giorgadze discussed the importance of the project and the planned cultural program with the European leading media representatives, while Medea Metreveli introduced to the audience the concept of the project and main messages, official website, video-animation and the literary program.

At the press-conference Nino Haratischwili, a German author of Georgian origin adressed to the audience via recorded video from the writer's perspectives.
