For the promotion purposes of Georgian Literature at French Book Market, the directors of Georgian and French book centers (GNBC, CNL) Medea Metreveli and Vincent Monadésigned the memorandum on 23rd of September 2016 in Paris, France. The embassy of Georgia in France was initiatively involved in the cooperation between the Georgian and French colleagues.

The main aim of singing the memorandum is dedicated to increase the popularization of translation Georgian literature in French language and vice versa; to improve networking among Georgian and French publishers, translators, librarians; to share the international experience related to copyright protection and to implement the strategically crucial projects jointly.

Within the business visit the director of GNBC Medea Metreveli held working meetings with the heads of French Institute, Paris Book Fair and international committee at the SNE for further cooperation.

With the support of GNBC, representatives of Georgian publishers ,,Bakur Sulakauri Publishing”, ,,Karchkhadze Publishing” and ,,Book in Batumi” attended the event and met French colleagues in order to present the portfolios of Georgian authors.
