Among the writers of the last decades, Tamaz Badzagua stands out due to the fact that he has initiated a type of metaphysical poem, very different from the traditional Georgian poetic forms. The innovation proved viable, earning popular recognition. However, the poet didn’t intend to reorganize the existing order of things, neither did he supply any instructions on how to write anew. It seems the new poetic form allowed him to further express himself.
