SULAKAURI GIGI

Born in 1953 in Tbilisi, in the writer Archil Sulakauri’s family, Gigi Sulakauri was poet and fiction writer. 1979 he graduated from Tbilisi State University, the faculty of philology. He worked in the journal Mnatobi. 2008, he was a member of the panel at the literary competition GALA. He became Vice president of Georgian PEN Center (1977). He died in Tbilisi and was buried at the Mtatsminda Pantheon in Tbilisi, where some of the most prominent writers, artists, scholars and national heroes of Georgia are buried.
