(1964-1994) Artist, poet, art critic, was born in 1964. In 1986 he graduated with distinction from Tbilisi’s Kutateladze State Art Academy in the faculty of art studies. From 1986 to the end of his life in 1994 he worked as a research fellow in the GiorgiChubinashvili Research Institute for the History of Georgian Art, in the department for research into contemporary art. In 1991 he worked in Germany, in the Françoise Friedrich Gallery in Köln. From 1989 he was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Literature and Art; from 1990 he was a member of the board of the association of art critics. He was a founder member of the Archivarius group of artists and the author of its charter; later he was a founder of the Tenth Storey artists’ group, the theoretician, art critic and ideological leader of the group. He took part in: 1988- the Bakuriani symposium of young creative people; 1988 - the first festival of Soviet avant-garde artists at Narva; 1988 - The International Seminar for Art Studies at Palanga; 1990 - Union Seminar of Art Experts, Senezh, Russia; 1990 - International Mars festival, Paris; International BIAF festival, Barcelona. Over his lifetime he published some forty scholarly works and articles; he was an active participant in exhibitions. His heritage includes up to 1000 coloured and 3,700 graphic works.
