AMIRKHANASHVILI IVANE
Born 1959 in Galavani (Mtskheta district) Ivane Amirkhanashvili is an author, literary critic, doctor of philology, Professor at I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Professor of Study-Scientific institute of Western European Philology. 1981 he graduated from I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, (Department of Philology). At different times he has worked as teacher, journalist and editor. Currently he works as head of research center at Shota Rustaveli Literature Institute and editor in chief of literary magazine Chveni Mtserloba (Our literature). He is an author of many articles and monographies about modern and classical Georgian literature. 2014-2016 he was member and 2016-2018 head of supervisory board of Georgian National Book Center.
