During 16-22 November 2015 the European Translators Colleagues in Straelen, Germany hosts literary translation seminars for Georgian and German translators initiated by Georgian National Book Center. Within the project twelve Georgian and German-language translators are participated and the sessions are led by experienced literary translators Rosemarie Tietze and Natia Mikeladze-Bakhsoliani (Georgian-German), Alexander Kartozia (German-Georgian). The participants are able to work together and analyze the ways of translating fiction from Georgian into German and from German into Georgian language.

According to the program, the actual issues related to literary translations in general are discussed with specially invited speakers Dirk Knippals (Literary critic, Journalist at Tageszeitung) and Tatjana Michaelis (Editor at Carl Hanser Verlag).

Partner organizations are: the program of European Translators Fund, Robert Bosch Fund, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Art Fund NRW and Goethe Institute Tbilisi.
