Georgian National Book Center and Georgian National Film Center announced a screenwriting contest, dedicated to 100th Anniversary of the Independence of Georgia in 2018.
Presentation on joint project was held for Georgian authors and screenwriters at the Writers’ House. Detailed contest terms were introduced to the audience by the director of Georgian National Book Centre Medea Metreveli and the director of Georgian National Film Centre Nana Janelidze.
The purpose of the contest is to select 5 scripts for full length feature films. Further development of the selected 5 scripts will be supported by Georgian National Film Centre with 75 000 GEL.
Georgian National Book Centre and Georgian National Film Centre will organize a special workshop for all interested candidates such as screenwriters, producers and directors. During the workshop well-known literary critics will introduce appealing literary texts for the films to participants and assist filmmakers to choose interesting topics for the film scripts.
