At the end of January a meeting will be organized at the Ministry of Culture with the participation of Georgian publishers, the National Library, Georgian film-directors, script writers and producers. The publishers will present the literary works they have published, and film scripts will be developed based on these books.
The winner project will be financed and produced in 2016. The competition funds for the project will be additionally allocated from the budget of the Ministry of Culture. Apart from this, 4 other scripts will be developed. These scripts will have an opportunity to obtain financing from other sources.
The adaptation of the literary work is also important with regard to 2018 Frankfurt Book Fair, as Georgia will be the guest of honor in the year 2018. The literary work that serves as a basis for the winner script, will be translated into German and presented during guest of honor year. The Market will cooperate with Berlinale.
