Georgian National Book Center in cooperation with Wiriters’ House of Georgia is delighted to announce the residency program for literary German-language translators. By the intiative of the GNBC the program firstly take place in Tbilisi in the frame of Georgian Guest of Honour project at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2018.

The residency program is directed at experienced, qualified literary translators living abroad who are in the process of translating Georgian modern classics, contemporary authors’ works into German language.

The participants will be recruited based on the competition. During February-March 2018, within the two-week long program, translators will be allocated at the residential rooms of Writers’ House of Georgia in Tbilisi and will have the possibility to work on perfection of German translation of Georgian literary texts in collaboration with Georgian authors/literary researchers.

Candidates are asked to send the required documents by 1 December 2017.
