LADARIA NODAR

Born in 1960, in Sukhumi, Nodar Ladaria is writer, translator and Professor of Medieval Studies at Ilia State University, Tbilisi (since 2006). Since 2007 he is Director of Center of Italian Culture at Ilia State University, since 2011 Director of the Interuniversity Team for the Study of Georgian Documents in Vatican. 2002 – 2006 he was Professor of Medieval History in Language and Culture Institute (Tbilisi).
1981 he graduated from Tbilisi State University (faculty of Physics, specialization in Physics of High Energy and Elementary Particles). 1994 Nodar Ladaria received License in Theology (Pontifical Oriental Institute, Vatican City). 1996 he became Doctor in Oriental Ecclesiastic Sciences (Pontifical Oriental Institute, Vatican City). 2001 - 2015 he has worked as Columnist and Press-Ombudsman in the daily newspaper 24 Saati and 2010 - 2014 as an author and anchorman of the Cultural Program “B-flat” in Georgian Public Broadcaster.
