Born in July 5, 1955 in Vachnadziani, Kakhetia. In 1978 he graduated from Tbilisi State University’s economics faculty. In 1982 he published his first poems, in 1987 his first collected poems Evening Post. So far he has published 8 books of poems. His poems have been published in various anthologies, and some have been translated into English, German, Spanish, French and Russian. Temur Chkhetiani’s hobby is composing chess puzzles. Since 1995 he has published 300 puzzles in chess magazines of various countries.
