BUACHIDZE ANDRO

Born in 1957, in Tbilisi, Andro Buachidze is poet, critic, essayist and translator. He studied Georgian Language and Literature at I. Javakhishvili State University. He has worked as a deputy editor at public-literary journal Mnatobi, also in literary magazines Tsiskari and Saunje and in Giorgi Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature. Andro Buachidze has won several literary prizes in Georgia, among them he received twice Literary Award Saba 2005 in the category The Best Poetry Collection and 2017 in the category The Best Book Published as an E-book. His poems have been translated in several languages. 2018 twenty of his poems were translated and published in the poetry collection Electric Bulbs (Virgines Verlag, 2018).
