In April 2019, Georgian National Book Center and Instituto Cervantes jointly organize Georgian-Spanish Literary Week for the popularization of contemporary Georgian and Spanish literature in Georgia. Spanish authors - Elena Medel, Patricia Esteban Erlés, Harkaitz Cano, Nicolas Melini will visit Georgia to participate in the literary events planned in frames of this week. They will hold public meetings and discussions with their Georgian colleagues: Paata Shamugia, Teona Dolenjashvili and Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili. Discussions will be moderated by contemporary Georgian authors and critics Shota Iatashvili, Levan Berdzenishvili and Levan Tsagareli; translated by Irakli Menteshashvili. For this purpose Tbilisi will also visit Martin Lopes-Vega, Cultural Director of Instituto Cervantes and Javier Valdivielso, Director of Instituto Cervantes Sofia (Bulgaria).
